The learning curve to becoming a nurse practitioner is steep. This podcast is hosted by Sean Dent, MSN ACNP-BC CCRN and Kati Kleber, BSN RN CCRN and features expert content from FreshNP.com. FreshNP is a hub of resources for prospective, current and new nurse practitioners to support and facilitate their transition from student to new clinician.
Our goal is to bridge the knowledge gap about all things related to becoming a new NP. From which program to choose, to working with physicians, to time management, we cover all things the new NP wants and needs to know to be successful.
Today’s episode
Kati asks Sean to walk through a typical shift as an acute care nurse practitioner (ACNP). Sean works in a critical care unit in a Level 1 trauma teaching facility and works closely with physicians, critical care nurses, and other advanced practice providers as they care for critically ill individuals.
